I’ve said this before but
I think the very insightful commentary from thepurplepineapple brought it back up to mind again.
Liv probably doesn’t want to be First Lady. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to be with Fitz or marry Fitz. That means that she doesn’t want to take up that traditional role that that position requires. Any flashes of the life that she wants never has visions of power or even glory. She doesn’t like being summoned or being at the whims of public scrutiny for her actions (which is why being exposed will change her life forever) and she doesn’t like the spotlight. She likes representing her clients in public but her clients are always the center of attention. Not her.
Now, I wish that she had shared that with Fitz. I wish she was honest about her desires in this instance with him. But I understand why she didn’t.
Which is why I see, if they do finally get it together, them not getting married until after his second term is done and he’s an ex-president who isn’t followed around as much. I could see them dating, I can even see her being declared First Girlfriend, but not getting married while he’s still in the WH. Funny enough I do get stay at home dad from him as well or him working with charities or doing a world wide initiative like Clinton does. I could see Olivia still working her ass off though and doing her own thing.
